What distinguishes globalization in our era is the speed with which it is occurring; the tools that are driving it forward; the rules that exist -- or do not exist -- to manage it; and the actors who determines its flow. From this point of view we must understand the true meaning of globalization and its effects to the economical and social life. Globalization has both negative and positive effects. The first part of this paper introduces globalization from different points of views. The second part consists of the current discussions about the debates of the globalization whether it is good vs. bad. Then I will try to point out the overall effects of Globalization and Technological Innovations on socio-economic life. Globalization cannot be considered good or bad. It has both positive and negative sides. And the main aim of this paper is to point out the role of Information Technology on the Globalization effects. I think that Information Technology (IT) is key to greater dynamism in the socio-economy as a whole in the 21st century.
