| Açıklama | Egypt. Homeland of great pharaohs and their protector mighty Sphinx. First Egypt was under the ocean, and then it became a tropical forest, a savanna and finally a desert. During this period people naturally moved closer to the river of Nile and its fertile delta which is spread out before entering the Mediterranean Sea. At this delta, they learned to domesticate wheat, sheep, goats and cattle. Flax was grown, spun into thread and woven into linen for clothing. Houses became rectangular and are built with mud bricks, which have uniform shapes. Tools began to include harpoons, hoes, spindles, looms and drills for hollowing out stone vases. During time period, Egypt was divided into two states, the lower delta in the north represented by a red crown and upper Egypt in the south symbolized by a lily plant and a white crown. The traditional dynasties began about 3100 BC with the first of the pharaohs Menes, who conquered the south and united Egypt in the central capital of Saqqarah, later named Memphis. He attacked Nubians in the south and conducted military movements in the east. He taught his people to worship the gods, offer them sacrifices. He was succeeded by Aha, who fought with Nubians and the third king, Djer, who marched to the east and to the second cataract in the south. The last king of first dynasty was Den, who was also active in military was the first to wear the double crown symbolizing the union of north and south. Conflicts were solved by the first king of the second dynasty, Hetepsekhemui. This dynasty appeared about 2890 BC. The fourth king, Peribsen, introduced the Seth cult into the northeastern delta. Next king was Khasekhem was a warrior, and at his conquest to the north he slaughtered the Libyans. During this period Egyptians invented paper from papyrus and were advancing in science.
