| Açıklama | FORESTS AND THE WEATHER The world’s atmosphere is like a blanket.Under this blanket the world is not too hot and not too cold.People and animals can live happily in most places. But our blanket is changing.It is getting hotter.What’s the reason of this ? There are a lot of different kinds of gas in the blanket of air round our world.Carbon dioxide is one of these gases.There is not much of it in the air , but it is very important. If there is too much carbon dioxide in the air , the world’s climate will change.It’ll get hotter. Also , the world’s forests are getting smaller all the time.We are chopping down the trees because we need wood , and we need more farmland.Some people say that there will not be any forests like these in 20 – 30 years time.What will happen then ?¿? If we chop down our forests a lot of plants and animals will disappear from the world , and there will not be enough food for everyone.In a lot of places the new farmland will soon look like the old deserts.Crops will not grow there.It will not rain very often , and the weather will get very hot.There will not be enough water etc. Some people say that this is happening now.The climate of the world will change.This will be dangereus for everyone in the world. That’s why we must take care of our forests. ... |
