Setting: Place: Filling Station , Hazell’s Wood. Time:Past. Summary Of The Book: Danny and his father live in a gypsy caravan. They are poor but they are very happy. I think you saw that I didn’t write Danny’s mather because she died when Danny was four months old so Danny’s father only looked him to this old. Danny loves his father very much and every night his father reads him a book for him to sleep. One day when Danny wakes up he couldn’t find his father so he starts to look everywere to find him but he couldn’t find him. At last he goes to the road and starts to run at last he sees his father coming along the road. From that time he learns his father’s secret. The secret is that his father is a poacher. Then Danny learns all three methods of poaching. One day Danny’s father goes to Hazell’s wood but with promise to Danny that he would come to home earlier but he don’ come to home earlier that he promised like before so he decided to go to Hazell’s wood with baby Austin to look for his father. He goes there and finds his father in a pit then he took him up and at last they go to home. Then poaching season comes so Danny and his father decided to catch all pheasants with a method that Danny invented. They decided to put sleeping pills into raisins. Danny and his father go to Hazell’s wood one day before the shooting party. They do the method and it was succesful. They give the pheasants to Mrs. Clipstone. She put all those pheasants into a baby cart and bring them the following day but suddenly the pheasants came off from the cart. Dr. Spencer gives them two pheasants but the others have all gone.
